I spent the first 38 years of my life in mostly “regimented” environments - I grew up in a household with an Air Force fighter pilot, went to a Methodist-affiliated college and then worked in the corporate offices of a bank for 15 years where it was frowned upon for women to wear pants. So, needless to say I usually expect things to be in order, on time and typically view things black and white and rather conservatively. But that all changed in 2007 when I joined the place where my husband, LWT partner David Allred, spends his days. Being in a creative environment now where most everyone uses the right side of their brain is exciting for me and has given my left-sided brain some much needed COLOR. It’s been refreshing to know that good work and being successful doesn’t have to come from sitting behind a desk from 8 to 5 but rather being involved in your community, keeping up to speed with what people are thinking and doing and knowing what’s going on in the world.
